Kajaanin Pietari offers its residents internet connection free of charge!

A free internet connection is available in all Kajaanin Pietari locations, providing residents with a 100/10 Mbps basic speed internet connection. On this page, we explain how, as a resident of Kajaanin Pietari, you can access it. The internet connection is delivered by Kaisanet.

All you need is a router to use the internet connection

You only need to get a router and connect it to the telephone socket or networking panel in your apartment, after which you’ll have a 100 Mbps basic speed internet connection. Additionally, the router automatically establishes a wireless local network (Wi-Fi) in your apartment.

You can easily get a router from Kaisanet either by purchasing it or by renting it with a monthly fee

Installing the router is easy!

You simply connect the router using the cable provided to either the telephone socket or the networking panel in your apartment, and the device automatically detects the internet connection. After connecting the router, you can connect your devices to the wireless Wi-Fi network created by the router.

In most of Kajaanin Pietari’s properties, the router is connected to a phone socket. In the following properties, the router should be connected to the networking panel: Asemakatu 2, Erätie 18, Kaikukatu 4, Kaikukatu 8, Kaikukatu 10 and Ketunpolku 5 A-F.

The networking panel is usually located in the entryway’s electrical cabinet or sometimes in a closet. To ensure Wi-Fi coverage, it’s advisable to place the router outside the metal cabinet.

In Kajaanin Pietari’s properties, residents have access to a free basic speed internet connection with 100 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed.

Internet speeds are theoretical maximum speeds. The condition of the customer’s internal network, cable lengths, and other network traffic can also affect the speeds. The advertised speeds do not apply to potential wireless (e.g., WLAN) networks. The range of speeds can be found in the Kaisa Broadband service description (in Finnish only).
